A regular meeting
of the Collinsville Independent School District Board of Trustees was held on Monday,
July 16, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the Superintendent’s Office,
The meeting was called to order by Vice-President, Darryl Carney.
Quorum was established with the following members present: Donita Byrom, Darryl Carney, Randy Adams, Larry Kittrell, Justin McDonnell and Mindy Kerr. Johnny Lee Godsey was absent at this time. Others present were: Superintendent, Tim Wright; High School Principal, Cindy Brown, Primary Principal, Sheila Riddle, Technology Director, Ken Kemp; and Athletic Director, Danny David.
Citizen Participation: There was no citizen participation.
Minutes: A motion was made by Darryl Carney and seconded by Randy Adams to approve the minutes of the June 25, 2007, special meeting and the June 25 regular meeting. The motion carried 6-0.
Financial Review: Mr. Wright reviewed the finances with the Board.
Administrator’s Reports:
Danny David had nothing to report.
Cindy Brown had nothing to report.
Sheila Riddle had nothing to report.
Ken Kemp reported that the network upgrade was complete and the district will be getting new email addresses.
Mr. Wright updated the Board on the progress of the clean up at the Primary building.
Inter-Local
Agreement for
Mindy Kerr is now absent at 7:50 p.m.
Executive Session: The Board went into executive session at 7:50 p.m. for the purpose of personnel authorized by Section 550.074 of the Texas Government Code. The Board returned to regular session at 8:19 p.m. No action was taken at this time.
Employee Contracts: A motion was made by Darryl Carney and seconded by Randy Adams to hire Craig Lock, Doug Spillers, Larry Don Wood, Sidney McLaughlin, and Laura Gray as teachers for the 2007-08 school year subject to the following: (1) assignment and reassignment; (2) state base salary plus local district supplement; (3) pending state funding; (4) plus other duties assigned by the administration. The motion carried 5-0.
Resignations: A motion was made by Larry Kittrell and seconded by Donita Byrom to accept the resignations of Becky Latham, Carrie Crane, Heath Gibson, Brenda Brinkman and Misty Joaquin. The motion carried 5-0.
Adjourn: A motion was made by Darryl Carney and seconded by Larry Kittrell to adjourn at 8:25 p.m. The motion carried 5-0. The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m. by Vice-President, Darryl Carney with five members present and Johnny Lee Godsey was absent. There were no objections.
