A special meeting
of the Collinsville Independent School District Board of Trustees was held on Monday,
June 4, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. in the Superintendent’s Office,
The meeting was called to order by Vice-President, Darryl Carney.
Quorum was established with the following members present: Donita Byrom, Darryl Carney, Randy Adams, and Justin McDonnell. Mindy Kerr, Johnny Lee Godsey and Larry Kittrell were absent at this time. Others present were: Superintendent, Tim Wright, High School Principal, Cindy Brown, Personnel Director, Teresa Stopher, and Business Manager, Karen Shotwell.
Resignations: A motion was made by Darryl Carney and seconded by Donita Byrom to accept the resignation of Kari Bailey. The motion carried 4-0.
Resignations: A motion was made by Darryl Carney and seconded by Randy Adams to accept the resignation of Shari Christenson. The motion carried 4-0.
Larry Kittrell is now present at 7:45 p.m.
Employee Contracts: A motion was made by Randy Adams and seconded by Donita to hire Brian Stokes, Susan Stokes and Debra Halcomb as teachers for the 2007-08 school year subject to the following: (1) assignment and reassignment; (2) state base salary plus local district supplement; (3) pending state funding; (4) plus other duties assigned by the administration. The motion carried 5-0.
Executive Session: The Board went into executive session at 6:53 p.m. for the purpose of personnel authorized by Section 550.074 of the Texas Government Code. The Board returned to regular session at 9:20 p.m. No action was taken at this time.
Board Workshop: The Board conducted a budget workshop.
Adjourn: A motion was made by Larry Kittrell and seconded by Randy Adams to adjourn at 10:35 p.m. The motion carried 5-0. The meeting was adjourned at 10:35 p.m. by Vice-President, Darryl Carney with all five members present and Mindy Kerr and Johnny Lee Godsey absent. There were no objections.
