A special meeting
of the Collinsville Independent School District Board of Trustees was held on Monday,
April 28, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Superintendent’s Office,
The meeting was called to order by President, Johnny Lee Godsey.
Quorum was established with the following members present: Johnny Lee Godsey, Donita Byrom, Darryl Carney, Randy Adams, Justin McDonnell, and Larry Kittrell. Mindy Kerr was absent at this time. Others present were: Superintendent, Tim Wright.
Invocation: Invocation was given by Donita Byrom.
Scholarship: Consensus of the Board was to table at this time. The Board requested it to be placed on the agenda for next month.
Transfer Fees: No action was taken. Consensus of the Board was to leave the fees as they are at this time.
Transfer List: A motion was made by Johnny Lee Godsey and seconded by Randy Adams to approve the transfer list as presented. The motion carried 6-0.
Rollback Election: Mr. Wright discussed having a rollback election with the Board.
Executive Session: The Board went into executive session at 7:50 p.m. for the purpose of personnel authorized by Section 550.074 of the Texas Government Code. The Board returned to regular session at 8:48 p.m. No action was taken at this time.
Mr. Wright left the executive session at 8:15 p.m.
Superintendent Directive: A motion was made by Darryl Carney and seconded by Donita Byrom to approve the directive given to Mr. Wright in executive session. The motion carried 5-1 with Justin McDonnell voting against.
Adjourn: A motion was made by Justin McDonnell and seconded by Johnny Lee Godsey to adjourn at 8:55 p.m. The motion carried 6-0. The meeting was adjourned at 8:55 p.m. by President, Johnny Lee Godsey with six members present and Mindy Kerr absent. There were no objections.
