A regular meeting
of the Collinsville Independent School District Board of Trustees was held on Monday,
October 15, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the Superintendent’s Office,
The meeting was called to order by President, Johnny Lee Godsey.
Quorum was established with the following members present: Johnny Lee Godsey, Donita Byrom, Darryl Carney, Larry Kittrell, Randy Adams, and Justin McDonnell. Mindy Kerr was absent at this time. Others present were: Superintendent, Tim Wright; High School Principal, Cindy Brown; Intermediate Principal and Technology Director, Ken Kemp; Athletic Director, Danny David; and Kim Gammon.
Invocation: Invocation was given by Donita Byrom.
Citizen Participation: There was no citizen participation.
Minutes: A motion was made by Donita Byrom and seconded by Justin McDonnell to approve the minutes of the September 17, 2007, regular meeting. The motion carried 6-0.
Financial Review: Mr. Wright reviewed the finances with the Board.
First Report: The Board had a public hearing on the FIRST Report.
Administrators
Reports:
Danny David reported that all the teams are doing well.
Cindy Brown reported that study skills is going well. She is taking care of student issues.
Kim Gammon reported that the PSAT tests are coming up.
Ken Kemp reported as Technology Director that we are having email issues but they are trying to work them out. He also reported that the Radio Station is doing well.
Sheila Riddle reported about Grandparents Day, Field Trips and Fall Festival was all a success.
Randy Adams is now absent at 7:30 p.m.
Update 81: I, Justin McDonnell move that the board add (LOCAL) policies as recommended by TASB Policy Service and according to the instruction sheet for TASB Localized Policy Manual Update 81 and Darryl Carney seconded the motion. The motion carried 5-0.

Adjourn: A motion was made by Johnny Lee Godsey and seconded by Darryl Carney to adjourn at 8:08 p.m. The motion carried 5-0. The meeting was adjourned at 8:08 p.m. by President, Johnny Lee Godsey with all five members present and Mindy Kerr and Randy Adams absent. There were no objections.
