The Collinsville ISD Curriculum Department is committed to providing engaging, rigorous, and meaningful learning experiences that empower every student to reach their full potential. We work collaboratively with teachers and campus leaders to support high-quality instruction, strengthen teaching and learning, and ensure our curriculum provides students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.

Our department believes that great learning begins with high expectations, strong relationships, and a commitment to continuous growth. Through curriculum development, instructional support, professional learning, assessment, and data-informed decision-making, we strive to create a consistent and supportive learning experience for every Collinsville Pirate.

Together, we are building a strong academic foundation that prepares our students to think critically, embrace challenges, pursue their goals, and confidently navigate their future. At Collinsville ISD, we believe in setting a bold course for learning and helping every student discover the knowledge, skills, and confidence to reach new horizons.

With 17 years in education, our Curriculum Director, Blake Newman, has had the opportunity to serve students and educators in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, GT Specialist, Curriculum Specialist, Assistant Principal, and district administrator.

Ms. Newman earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas and her graduate degree from The University of Texas at Tyler. She holds a Texas Principal Certification and is currently completing the Superintendent Certification Program at The University of Texas at Tyler.

In her current role, she serves as Curriculum Director, District Testing Coordinator, and Federal Programs Director. She is passionate about setting high expectations, working hard, and continually growing while creating opportunities for students and educators to reach their full potential.

Her commitment to learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement helps support a strong academic culture where every student and educator can thrive.
