Dr. Harold M. Colson, Interim Superintendent

Dr. Harold M. Colson brings more than 30 years of experience in Texas public education to his role as Interim Superintendent of Collinsville Independent School District. Throughout his career, he has served in a variety of leadership positions, including Acting Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, Athletic Director, Assistant Principal, and District Administrator for Facilities and Construction, and Teacher/Coach providing expertise in educational leadership, district operations, personnel management, school safety, and strategic planning.

Most recently, Dr. Colson served as Deputy Superintendent for Pilot Point ISD, where he oversaw district operations, human resources, transportation, maintenance, food services, safety and security, and major new and existing construction projects. During his tenure, he played a key role in the successful passage of a $38 million bond initiative supporting campus improvements, facility expansion, and infrastructure development. He also led efforts to strengthen district systems, improve operational efficiency, enhance school safety, and support student success.

Dr. Colson holds a Doctor of Education degree from Northcentral University, a Master of Science degree from Texas A&M University–Kingsville and maintains Superintendent and Principal certifications in the State of Texas. He is known for his collaborative leadership style, commitment to transparency, and dedication to building positive relationships with students, staff, families, and the community. As Interim Superintendent, Dr. Colson is focused on supporting Collinsville ISD's students and staff while ensuring stability, continuity, and a strong foundation for the future.
